Well, I think I found a happy medium, I have a hard time with cutsie, but this one has a "rustic" quality that I can work with! : )

Paper-Pink Paisley
Plastic pastel eggs (Walmart last Easter)
Basket sticker also Walmart last Easter
Bird sticker (Hobby Lobby)  Easter section
Recycled Plastic packaging, I always save these
Yellow card stock
Trim (Walmart) Simplicity
ATG adhesive
Martha Stewart sage pigment ink

What luck finding the eggs almost the same color and size as the sticker!  Looks like they just fell out of the basket doesn't it?  I adore the way this turned out

Super Paper Divas Easter Egg Hunt Blog Hop!

Happy Easter!!!

Welcome to the Easter Egg Hunt Hop hosted by Diane

Hop on over to the next blog and don't forget to count the eggs!

This was my sad attempt at "cutesy" LOL, I guess its not in me!

Some Easter embellishments from last easter (Walmart).
Paper Studio Paper
Gel Pink glittered  Embossing Powder for the free handed bunny
Purple embossing glitter, I added some white glitter before adding it
White glitter for her tail
2-way Zig ball point pin
Heat gun

I decided then, to get over it and be myself, then things like this started popping out if me:

I love how the eggs are over the edges of the card!  The papers are a Mix of my beautiful scraps, I hand drew and cut the eggs, then inked around them with Bics Mark Its. I used my ATG to glue just the middle of each egg, I wanted them to ruffle around the edges to add more texture. I did not want them completely flat. I love how this card turned out!

I will see you tomorrow with another beautiful project, and no more trying to do "cutsie" LOL!

Think Spring Blog Hop

Think

***WINNER***WINNER***WINNER***
Of My Blog Candy:
Brandy C!  I have contacted you by the email left in comments, please respond within 3 days or I will have to pick another : (

Angelica has generously donated a stamp set from Market Street Stamps:

Dont forget to leave a comment on every blog to better your chance of winning!

When spring arrives, I always look forward to my flowers blooming and my 2 of my 3 daughters' birthday, The oldest and newest were born 10yrs and 1 day apart.  April 30th and May 1st. We play with them saying, "April showers bring May flowers".

When I think Spring, I think of Flowers, and new beginnings! I have a a very good friend, who's wedding, I will not be attending. LA is a good way from here!  Shes very earthy and there is not a pink, or girly thing about her!  I had to resist making them  out of plaid!  So I went with Grunge colored Roses!

I used the hand cut circle in what ever size came out as I cut the paper and cut into a swirl, then used my long tweezers to hold the outside end and roll to the middle, I then loose end the curl out to allow it to "open up", then I used Aleen's Tacky Glue to glue the middle of the circle to the middle bottom.
I forgot to tell you, I removed the stark white back by adding ink, Walnut Matha Stewart, Stampn Up Curry, And Glorious Green, this is  the side of each that was stark white.  I used brown Martha Stewart eye, to ink up the edges.

Died them 2 different colors with alcohol ink, I just mixed bunch of colors till I ended up with the result I wanted, Olive and rust.

Inked  up vellum with bronze Martha Stewart pigment ink, to remove starkness. punched out tiny flowers

left are mine, using the cap from the generic one on the right that was on the spray I bought at Dollar Tree to reuse the stems and caps.

Added the pearl sprays and cut and Hot Glued the  pearls in the middle for stamen

Regular Olive color card stock Inked up with curry ink

Then  Walnut ink

Punched w Martha Stewart Rose Leaf

I'm thinking about  adding grunge roses and Anna Roses as the Wedding approaches!

Most of us already know how to do the frame/punch/glossy accents.  But I found these in a huge bulk and had some ideas!

Glue down the frame (Not the loop) first add glue around the back, then placing it where you want. I used Mighty Gem it.  I bought for $.50, So I wanted to see how will  it will work out.

Fill it in, Let dry, cut around!  The one on the right is almost dry, It worked out fab!  These are for My daughters mini album, I think I may make them detachable in case she wants to wear them.

I think, I could spare about 10 of these flowers and some jump rings if you want just follow and leave a comment with a way to contact you if you are the winner, (Tonight only)  Tomorrow I will post results and  a winner using random.org!

I will add a lobster claw ( I dont have any on hand in silver) Then they will be done!
 Thanks for visiting!

Ribbon Flowers

Ribbon Flowers

After seeing yesterdays Thank You card, I have been asked several times how to make the ribbon flowers.
So here ya go:

2 size circle punch
any size ribbon, Xyron or ATG, even Hot Glue, but dont use your finger to press, use pencil or other end of a pait brush!

run 2 biggest and one smallest circle through Xyron
turn a big circle other and gather and press the ribbon, keeping it the same distance from the edge as you go. When your done, then cut it off the spool.  Add your other big circle on the back middle and press hard all around "sealing" the bunched up ribbon side between the two circles , then add your "small circle" middle of the flower, or what ever you choose to embellish it with!

Thank you card for Anita

Thanks Friend
